About

Google Workspace is Google’s suite of business productivity apps, launched in 2006 as Google Apps and renamed Google Workspace in 2020. It includes Gmail with a custom domain, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Chat and more.

Businesses use Workspace for email, document collaboration, video meetings and file storage. Since 2025, Gemini AI is built into Business and Enterprise plans, helping users write emails, draft documents, analyse spreadsheets, take meeting notes and research with NotebookLM.

As of October 2026, Business Starter costs $8.40 per user a month on flexible billing ($7 annually), Business Standard $16.80 ($14 annually) and Business Plus $26.40 ($22 annually), with Enterprise plans priced by quote. Business Starter has more limited Gemini features, while Standard and above unlock Gemini across Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet. A 14-day free trial is available.
