About
Raycast is a productivity launcher founded in 2020 that lets you open apps, search files, manage windows, run commands and use thousands of extensions from one hotkey. Long popular on the Mac, it rebuilt the app as Raycast 2.0, which left beta in August 2026 with full Windows support.
Raycast AI lets you ask quick questions, chat with leading AI models, run AI commands and schedule AI automations. In September 2026, version 2.3 rebuilt the AI core so AI Chat can plan tasks, use extensions, write and run code and keep going until a job is done.
As of October 2026, Raycast has a free plan, Pro at $10 a month ($8 billed annually) with 500 monthly AI credits, and Pro+ at $20 a month ($16 annually) with top-tier models. Bring-your-own-model options require a paid plan, and new users get a 7-day Pro trial.
