About

Zoom is a video communications company founded in 2011 and best known for Zoom Meetings. Its platform, now called Zoom Workplace, brings together meetings, team chat, whiteboards, docs, phone, mail and calendar.

People use Zoom for video meetings, webinars and team collaboration. AI Companion, included at no extra cost on paid plans, summarises meetings, answers questions about what you missed, drafts messages and emails, and organises notes and action items.

As of October 2026, Zoom Workplace has a free Basic plan, Pro at around $16 per user a month on monthly billing (cheaper annually), Business at around $22 a month and Enterprise pricing. ZoomMate, a paid agentic AI tier launched in 2026, adds more advanced AI on top.
