About

Notion AI is the set of AI features built into Notion, the all-in-one workspace for notes, documents, wikis and projects. Notion Labs was founded in San Francisco in 2013, and Notion AI launched in February 2023.

Teams use Notion AI to draft and edit documents, summarise pages, answer questions across their workspace and connected apps, take AI meeting notes and run Notion Agent to complete multi-step tasks such as building databases or updating pages.

As of October 2026, full Notion AI is bundled into the Business plan at $20 per member per month billed annually ($24 billed monthly) and Enterprise. Free and Plus users get only a limited AI trial. Custom Agents use additional credits billed on top of the plan.

Pros

Cons

  • Requires Business plan: Full AI is no longer available as a cheap add-on on lower plans.
  • Extra costs for agents: Custom Agents use credits billed on top of the subscription.
  • Only works within Notion: AI value depends on how much of your work lives in Notion.
