About

Floot is an AI-powered app builder based in San Francisco and backed by Y Combinator. It is designed for non-technical founders and entrepreneurs who want to build working web apps without writing code.

You describe your app in plain language and Floot builds it, including the backend, database, user authentication and hosting, all on one platform. You can make changes by chatting or by drawing directly on the app, and Floot detects and fixes errors as it builds. In September 2026 it launched Floot MCP, which lets you build and ship web and mobile apps from inside Claude or ChatGPT.

As of October 2026, Floot has a Free plan, Pro from $25 a month with credits that roll over, and Enterprise plans with a $20,000 a year minimum. Higher credit plans can convert web apps into mobile apps.

Features and integrations

  • Chat-to-App Building: Describe an app and Floot builds a working full-stack version.

  • Draw-to-Edit: Circle or point at parts of your app to request changes visually.

  • Built-In Backend: Hosting, database and authentication are included.

  • Automatic Error Fixing: Floot detects and fixes errors in generated code.

  • Floot MCP: Build and ship apps from inside Claude or ChatGPT.

  • Mobile App Conversion: Turn a Floot web app into mobile apps on higher plans.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Made for non-coders: Simple chat and visual editing.
  • All-in-one platform: No separate hosting or database services needed.
  • Credits roll over: Unused Pro credits carry to the next month.
  • Code ownership: You own your app's code and data.

Cons

  • Credits limit usage: Large apps can use many credits.
  • External databases are harder: Connecting outside data takes extra work.
  • Younger platform: Smaller community than Lovable or Bolt.
