Lovable is an AI app builder based in Stockholm, Sweden. It grew out of the open-source GPT Engineer project started in 2023 and rebranded as Lovable in late 2024. It quickly became one of the fastest-growing AI startups in Europe.
Founders, designers and product teams use Lovable to build working web apps and prototypes by chatting with an AI. It generates the front end and connects to a backend for databases, authentication and file storage, with options to sync code to GitHub and publish on a custom domain.
As of October 2026, Lovable has a Free plan with 5 daily credits capped at 30 a month, Pro from $25 a month with 100 monthly credits and higher credit tiers, Business from $50 a month with SSO and team controls, and Enterprise pricing. Each message uses credits based on how complex the change is.

Anton Osika is the co-founder and CEO of Lovable, which he started with Fabian Hedin in Stockholm. Osika created the open-source GPT Engineer project in 2023, which evolved into Lovable. He previously worked as an engineer at Sana Labs and at CERN.
